March Madness can mean pain for VPN users and IT teams

For many of us today we learn how good or bad our March Madness brackets look. For our network and infrastructure teams, they find out if their networks will hold up.

Since 2010, the opening 2 days of the Men’s NCAA basketball tourney has been seen by many as by far the most unproductive work days of the year, even ahead of the Monday after the Super Bowl and opening day of baseball.

It is estimated that well over 100 million people will stream the first round of the tourney this year which is unprecedented. This year is even more different as many folks are working remotely from home. With employees multitasking between work and play, this will shine a blinding light on the painful limitations of legacy remote access solutions like VPN. In many situations, the throughput speeds (or lack of) will become simply unusable and potentially crash.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Customers of Axis Security can kickback and enjoy the games without interruption. Axis’ Application Access Cloud was built to scale.
So let’s give our IT friends a break and let them enjoy some uninterrupted March Madness too.
