What’s a Rich Text element?

"

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing
A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
Global Banking Group Adopts Atmos ZTNA to Secure Access for 70,000 User Workforce
Banking / Financial Services

As secure application access demands continued to grow, this global banking group knew that adopting zero trust was no longer optional. Now the bank secures its worldwide workforce with Atmos, a powerful Security Service Edge (SSE) platform.

Challenge
  • The bank’s access needs are diverse - spanning multiple types of users, cloud environments, as well as legacy apps to new SaaS offerings.
  • The bank has different security requirements for traditional on-premise access vs. cloud. An identity service was their first step in adopting zero trust, but the bank wanted to standardize on zero trust access.
  • VPN was used for remote access causing security risks, and negatively impacted user experience.
  • Securing third-party access was expensive, and required the bank to purchase a corporate-managed device for each individual.

Solution
  • Atmos enables zero trust access for all user types accessing applications in a variety of distributed locations. Atmos supports not just private apps, but the bank’s SaaS and web apps.
  • Atmos helped the bank continue their zero trust journey by adopting ZTNA (access to private apps) as they first secure access solution
  • Atmos' broad agentless support means the bank no longer needs to supply a corporate-managed device to every third-party user to ensure security. Zero trust access can be enforced for every BYOD device.
  • Employees enjoy the benefits of invisible security and seamless access to business resources with Atmos.

The growing demands for secure application access

A top three bank in the UK, this global financial services company has over 65,000 employees, +1,000 branch locations, and 26 million customers. With such an extensive workforce, this global banking organization has a wide variety of secure access needs. The business must support multiple types of users (employees, third-parties, customers), devices (managed, BYOD), clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP), and applications (internal & external, as well as old & new). So many moving parts and to add on top of this the fact that remote and hybrid work has only continued to grow.

The global banking organization realized that securing and managing this new workplace was not sustainable with traditional access solutions. The financial services company realized they needed to adopt a modern zero trust approach powered by a Security Service Edge (SSE) platform.

The need for zero trust

With many secure access needs, the global banking group needed a Security Service Edge (SSE) platform that would help tackle A couple of primary areas:

Replace VPN and implement zero trust access for employees

At the time, the global financial organization was using Pulse Secure VPN, which proved to be a security risk to the business and an annoyance to the workforce. VPN had no way to restrict user access, instead extending full network access to their workforce across the globe. This network exposure left the global bank vulnerable to attacks from cybercriminals as well as lateral malware/ransomware propagation. The bank even had known vulnerabilities impacting their VPN as a result of slow patching due to the vendor. On top of all these security implications, VPN caused a slow and frustrating access experience due to traffic backhaul which greatly impacted business productivity.

Additionally, the team had over 30 thousands Microsoft Managed Devices (MMD) which have stringent requirements around what agents can be installed on the endpoint, making agent-dependent VPN solutions very challenging to deploy and regulate.

Make securing third-party access easier

Traditionally, “secure” third-party access for the global banking group looked a lot like their employee access. Each third-party user would be issued a corporate-managed device, usually a standard build laptop with security controls, access permissions, and agents included. The devices would then be mailed out to the individual third-party users, potentially never to be seen again. This was not only costly and time-consuming for the business, but also not an effective way to secure access to one of the bank’s biggest risk categories. Furthermore, these external, third parties would have access to the corporate network where they could then move laterally across it.

Cashing out of VPN and investing in SSE

After evaluating several zero trust solutions, the global banking group ultimately chose Atmos by Axis as the best Security Service Edge (SSE) fit for their various access needs.

The bank began their zero trust implementation with Atmos ZTNA, focusing on the secure access areas that needed it most: replacing VPN and creating zero trust access for employees and third-parties alike. With Atmos ZTNA, the organization was able to immediately stop users from being invited onto the corporate network, while allowing them to access all business-critical applications.. As a result of this application-level access vs. network-level access, the bank was able to implement least-privileged access to their workforce, restricting access to only allow authorized users to authorized apps, and gain better visibility into what users were accessing in the process. This level of isolation also means that any internet-based attacks, like malware or ransomware, cannot propagate through the network, minimizing the blast radius.

Additionally, the Atmos platform also enabled secure support of BYOD devices for both employees and third-party users. Devices no longer need  to be set-up and shipped to external end-users, instead they can use their own personal devices while still having zero trust access enforced. Even highly regulated devices - like their MMD managed devices - can operate on zero trust without requiring an agent download. As a result, the bank was able to quickly onboard +1,000 remote workers and now intends to leverage Atmos as they transition all 70,000 VPN users to Atmos ZTNA.

This global bank’s partnership with Atmos enabled them to:

Adopt zero trust access – With Atmos ZTNA, the global Bank minimized network exposure, implemented least-privilege access, and stopped the risk of ransomware propagating laterally.

Improve productivity – The global Bank workforce receives simple, fast access to private applications from anywhere in the world, for either managed or unmanaged devices.

Effortlessly scale – The global Bank is able to scale quickly and cost effectively with the power of a cloud-delivered SSE architecture.

Simplify management –  The global Bank is able to support a remote workforce without requiring an agent on the endpoint, this makes deployment easy without compromising security. For the global Bank MMD devices, Axis developed a custom-built agent to enable greater flexibility for the team.

This global bank’s future is secure

This global bank was able to quickly eliminate strategic areas of risk for their business, and will continue to do so. While the global banking group has taken their first step in zero trust adoption with Atmos ZTNA, their hope is to continue investments in the Atmos Security Service Edge (SSE) platform by not just securing “remote access” but holistic, “application access,” for all SaaS and Web applications.
