Senior Manager, Marketing Operations

About the Role

Axis is looking for a talented and highly motivated Senior Manager of Marketing Operations to help us build and evolve our marketing systems, data and processes as we scale.

This role is a critical part of the marketing demand generation and operations team and will report to the Sr. Director Demand Generation. Our ideal candidate will elevate the marketing team with data-driven insights and work closely across all go-to-market functions with the support of third-party agencies. This role requires a strategic, pragmatic problem solver, excited by the opportunity to build a scalable foundation that will in turn vastly improve our operational efficiency, support demand creation goals and deliver great outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead management process design and optimization
  • MarTech prioritization, selection, implementation and management
  • Marketing processes optimization, governance and management
  • Marketing team enablement, documentation & knowledge management
  • Strategic-to-tactical measurement and analytics (attribution, channels, funnel, pipeline, KPIs)
  • Data strategy, services, governance and management
  • Marketing automation management + integrations
  • Marketing planning processes, campaign & program plans
  • Budget allocation, management, tracking and reconciliation
  • Marketing vendor & agency management


  • 7+ years’ experience in marketing operations
  • A passion for marketing, operations and MarTech
  • Cybersecurity experience a plus
  • Data driven and detail oriented, tech savvy
  • Certification in one or more marketing automation platforms (preferably Marketo, Eloqua and/or Pardot) with the ability to use advanced features
  • Advanced Salesforce user/admin experience and knowledge
  • Familiarity with MarTech tools like Bizible, LeanData, Outreach etc.
  • Experience with business intelligence / reporting packages like Tableau
  • Strong data management, analytical, modeling and quantitative skills
  • A flexible and positive attitude and excellent cross-functional collaboration skills
  • The ability to prioritize, organize, and balance both short and long-term goals
  • Able to manage and direct the work of others including team members, agencies, other stakeholders
